Queen is a heavy metal band that was founded in 1971 after guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, who was a member of different bands, decided to join the vocalist and pianist Freddie Mercury. Then some time later bassist John Deacon joined them, and in 1972 they signed with EMI Records. Their first single "Keep Yourself Alive" was released shortly afterwards, but did not sell well. Then the Queen their debut album came out in '73 by combining hard rock glam in her album.
